Google and Oracle are hooked up on a lawsuit and Google has finally broken the ice on its part. They are calling the lawsuit baseless which could signal that Google will be fighting Oracle on this one.
In case you didn’t know, Oracle is suing Google for a patent infringement issue concerning intellectual property patents regarding Java. Android is based on Linux but much of its application layers use Java. Oracle is also saying the Android Software Development Kit also infringes upon some of its patents.
And so the blows have been landed and in the next couple of weeks you can expect some more insights on this legal issue. Who will budge? No one for sure! But you can bet Google is not taking this lightly and the same goes with Oracle in another celebrated patent dispute we have seen throughout the year between corporate heavyweights!
