If all rumors falls according to plan, the HTC Incredible will be getting the FroYo update by Wednesday, August 18. This will be the day when Verizon will reportedly rollout the FroYo OTA which incidentally puts some sanity in the earlier rumors on when this update would actually be released.
Barring any untoward incidents and delays, HTC Incredible and maybe even Droid 2 users may finally get their much awaited Android OS 2.2 update. With a couple of days ago, the update should hopefully cover the much awaited fixes that most Android smartphone users are looking forward to addressing.
