
Huawei of China is reportedly in the middle of talks with carriers over in Australia and New Zealand, talking to them about local distribution of Huawei’s new Ideos phone that runs on the latest Google Android OS.
The Huawei Ideos will come in several models and features a a 2.8-inch QVGA, 320×240 capacitive touchscreen, a 3.2-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and support for 3G speeds of up to 7.2Mbps as well as 802.11n Wi-Fi.
The new Android phone will also come with GPS functionality for Google Maps navigation and supports SD cards of up to 16GB for additional storage.
