There are some apps that are good and then there are some which are not. We have seen a lot of them get taken out at the Apple iTunes store and the Android Marketplace is no different.

With malicious apps like this one, the Secret SMS Replicator, the text messaging app has been stricken out after 18 hours of being available. Now while its removal may be commendable, you have to wonder about the approval process of apps over at the Android Marketplace since the said app was able to pass their standards in the first place. Overlooked or a goof?

The Dell Venue, otherwise known as well as Thunder, has made its way to the FCC. It has said to pass most of the tests it had undergone and may soon be available over at AT&T.

Google Maps for Android 4.6 has been finally announced, coming with an enhanced design for page place views and thus providing reviews on places via the web. It will also come with a new feature which will filter results by distance, ratings, neighborhood, “open now”, and “related searches.”

For the HTC Hero owners in Canada, you can now update your device to the Android 2.1. Head on over to the HTC website and you can find the Android 2.1 Éclair and users are asked to make the necessary backup precautions since the update will only retain the user data.
