Finally, HTC Desire owners in the UK can get some Android 2.2 FroYo love after T-Mobile UK announced the much awaited upgrade. The Android 2.2 upgrade has been officially released OTA and should be complete in the coming weeks for T-Mobile subscribers.
Among the notable enhancements and fixes the Android 2.2 brings include speedier browsing. Other improvements include support for Adobe Flash 10.1 player, better Microsoft Exchange integration, a built-in WiFi tethering application and better ways to manage apps.
However, even if the OTA update is official, subscribers should still back-up their existing data before upgrading. Apparently the upgrade will delete all existing data.
